Badge Fitting Instructions

BADGE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS – read BEFORE fitting!!

This badge has been produced to replicate, as closely as possible, the original factory item in size, shape, color and finish.  However, due to slight shrinkage of the metal during the casting process, some badges may not exactly fit the mount points, both screw mounted and push-in types.

Screw-on Type  As these badges are easily stolen (just a screwdriver is required), this method improves security.  Mount the badge using double-sided automotive tape (available from most auto stores) ensuring the tape is used only in the recess on the back of the badge.  One screw can be used as normal, the other should have the thread removed and the head glued (epoxy or silicone glue) to the badge.

Push-in Type  As above, except one of the pegs may have to be removed.

Sidecover Badges  One of the sidecover mount holes may need to be extended slightly with a small round file.  Automotive tape can also be used to mount these badges, with or without fixing clips.

Bending to Shape  You may need to bend these badges to fit exactly.  In order to avoid any cracking of paint finishes, preheat the badge in a low oven or by placing the badge in hot water.  Be very careful to bend no more than necessary and use finger strength only.
