EBC Pro-lite Replacement Rotor

The EBC Pro-lite series has become an aftermarket standard worldwide because of its very close similarity to the original disc but offering a higher friction (18% extra) braking power over stainless steel and being a safe, riveted, sturdy construction as opposed to the risky cir clip system used by some manufactures.

Advantages of floating rotors are better braking; no rotor distortion; reduced chance of rotor cracking; improved brake alignment; stylish looks. The EBC Pro-lite rotors are complete bolt on replacements for the original disc being lighter in most cases than standard units and using EBC`s unique HPSR low carbon steel brake rings; which enhance brake performance by 18% compared to stainless. They also extend pad life due to the reduced scaper hole pattern. For many discs on big touring bikes EBC Pro-lite units convert system to a full floater; reducing lever pulsing; etc. Some bikes come with Flat-Solid rotors up front; and almost always in the rear. EBC offers Flat-Solid rotor replacements for these non-floating applications. A complete bolt on and ``stop`` unit. The EBC rotors come complete with forged alloy center hub; billet steel low carbon brake rotor ring; stainless hardware and sturdy riveted assemble.

YAMAHA RD250,350,400 ROTOR KIT, 1973-1978

The RD250, RD350, and RD400 rotor kit uses the same MD2025 rotor and a stainless steel spacer that is placed between the hub and the rotor for proper alignment.

To use this rotor on the RD250, RD350 and some RD 400's YOU MUST modify your brake caliper inner half as shown to clear the floating rivets on the rotor

Some RD400's are already equipped with the cut out caliper style but may require a small amount of material removal on the edges of the cut out.

This does not affect the calipers structural integrity nor does the rotor come into contact with the brake pad or caliper piston.

HVCcycle offers this service to modify your brake caliper half  for $25.00
